Seniors: Macbeth II.iii, II.iv and part of III.i

Today we got back into reading, picking up with Act II Scene iii and continuing halfway through III.i. While reading this we see other characters’ reactions to Duncan’s death, and we see Macbeth further go into his paranoia while Banquo questions how much the prophecy will help him. There are lots of allusions to stars, fate and other supernatural things (hell, weather, etc.) in these scenes, which might be an interesting topic to explore for your response papers that are due tomorrow.
